Greg S. Williams - February 22, 2012
Former Lamar County fire fighter Ray Chambers shared his opinion of the ill-fated 2010 fire and ambulance fees with the board of commissioners at its regular meeting Tuesday in Barnesville.
The assessments were levied for one year in lieu of a two mill countywide ad valorem tax hike.

During the period of public comment, Commissioner Jimmy Hearn indicated thatup to 2,000 of the billsremain unpaid.

More citizen comment, along with comments from Commissioners Jay Matthews and Jimmy Hearn to follow.
