Georgia EMA Director Charley Englishpledged last week to provide a personalized response to questions submitted by Barnesville Dispatch with regardsto a model ordinance currently under consideration in Pike and neighboring counties.

Hi Greg, It is great hearing from you. I will respond next week to the question you presented, if that will meet your deadline. There is a lot we have going on right now and it is the best that I can do if I am to give a thoughtful well researched personal answer, he said in response to our recent email request.

Local concerns have been raised in recent weeks over language contained in a model emergency management ordinance that was distributed to counties throughout the state.
